Common sense and a sense of humor are the same thing, moving at different speeds. A sense of humor is just common sense, dancing. William James
DATELINE: Thursday, August 8, 2013
Dancing is a curious thing - it can be slow, it can be graceful, it can be energetic, and depending on the participants, it can even be awkward. Most of the time, though, regardless of the tempo or the dancers, dancing is a happy thing. It is difficult to be sad if you are dancing. It is difficult to be sad if you are watching people dance.
We are dancing towards the finish of our renovation project. It is getting easier to see the glory through the gory. There is something incredibly satisfying in watching the finished product emerge from the debris. It's not that there are not still a few missteps in the waltz, of course. We continue to stub our toes on little challenges along the way - but - we are dancing anyway.
Tomorrow, we begin to move into our new office space in earnest. We are dancing our way home. On August 28th, we will welcome all of you home again. Home, a place that feels familiar and loving and safe - even if it looks different. We can't wait to welcome you all home to our newly renovated school!
There are "private offices" and there are "closets" and during renovation, sometimes these are both the same place. All in all, Mrs. Hatch found it a productive atmosphere, even if it was a little cramped.
The new office space is "Blessed Mother Blue". Soon, the student desk will be replaced with the administrative desk and Mrs. Budnick will be smiling at you!
The new 4th grade classroom is taking shape. We are all delighted with what a bright, airy space it is becoming.
